Bank Connection Error Codes

When you  encounter an error with a financial institution connection, you will see an error code in the Status column of the account on the Financial Institutions page (Accounts > Manage Your Financial Connections). Please refer to the following list to locate the code and corresponding steps to correct the issue.

Note: Many issues may only be temporary. Performing the action again after 24 hours will likely result in success. However, if you still run into any issues after that, please contact us.

  2. If error persists, please try logging into the financial institutions site directly by clicking the link to the site that is provided.
  3. If you can log into the site directly but still cannot connect via WorkingPoint, please contact support.

  1. This error indicates that there was a change in the account number or nickname your financial institutions uses to reference your account.
  2. If changes have been made, please revert those changes at your financial institution website and try again. 
  3. If error persists after 24 hours, please contact support for further instructions.

  1. As a security feature, many financial institutions require you to change your password regularly. This error will display if your bank requires a password change before information can be accessed.

Duplicate Account Detected
The banking system cannot differentiate between two accounts at your financial institution. One account must be modified in order to resolve the duplication.
  1. Please log into your financial institution's website and modify the nickname of one of the accounts.

Security Questions Not Supported for this Financial Institution
Security questions are required by this financial institution but our data provider does not support them at this time. You may be able to turn off the requirement on your account at your bank's site. However, these questions are set up to help secure your data and it is not recommended that you disable them unless you feel secure in doing so. Options are not to connect this account or disable the questions and then connect account. 
  1. Log into your financial institution website and disable security questions.
  2. Try connecting again.

Account Number or Nickname Changed
This error indicates that there was a change in the account number or nickname your financial institutions uses to reference your account.
